Hi everypony!
On the road to becoming better and healthier, skin is always something that comes up! It's one of the first things someone notices about you, and it's often a way a person judges your health and hygiene.
I won't lie, I struggle with acne and unclear skin myself. But there are some simple ways to help your skin.
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN
Wash your hands regularly. Not touching your face is an excellent way to help your skin stay clearer. However, I am very very guilty of touching my face often. In fact, I just rubbed my nose now. If you wash your hands regularly, this can help the dirt you pick up on your hands all day from getting on your face. Not touching it at all would help, but at least you can cut back on the dirt.
Also, change your pillow case regularly or flip it over nightly. I change my pillow case every single day and I noticed I would get less and less acne. Just think about it, the dirt from your hair and skin is all over your pillow case as you sleep. Your skin is being exposed to all that dirt! That can cause a lot of breakouts.
Know what kind of products are best for your skin
When people say, "If it stings, it's just cleaning" is usually BS.
If you're feeling burning and discomfort from a product, I would recommend not using it. I have very sensitive skin and using these products only dried out my skin. This is even worse!
Girls, make sure your makeup isn't affecting your skin! I barely wear makeup, but make sure you clean it properly, and clean your brushes regularly to prevent spreading of dirt.
Moisturize
Moisturize your skin regularly! I am really bad at doing this, which is terrible because I have dry, flaky skin. Moisturizing will help your skin look much better which is a plus!
Drinking lots of water will help here! Drink drink drink to make your skin moisturized and nice!
Live an all around healthy life style
Because that's what this forum is about, but also because exercise and proper dieting can help reduce your acne and inflammation naturally.
Reducing stress can greatly help your complexion, so watch some eps of ponies with some friends!
Smile!
You look more attractive when you're grinning! It will make you more confident and people will find you better looking!
If you have any tips please add them!
I'm by no means a skin expert, but I've learned a lot through trial and error because I have tried everything for that "perfect skin". In the end, basic soap and changing my habits is what helped get me closer to a more healthy completion.
I hope I could help somepony!
