Hello, your overlord Ganey here to bring you into the magnificent world of the odd, the type of stuff that brings you off the beaten trail. Now you may be thinking "Lord Ganey, your magnificence, what doth this have to do with ones well being". Well peasant ones well being doth not include only a health body, but a health mind as well, and what better way to make thy mind healthy then to provoke thought upon it. the things that are to be posted in this thread are those that seem, well odd and invoke thought.
The first oddity is a game that is very close to me.
Yume Nikki
Now I am not gonna lie, this one may seem a bit dark, or at the very least unsettling. First some things you should know about this game.
Story
You go to sleep and explore the dream of the girl arguably named Madotsuki (arguably because it means window in Japanese ).
Gameplay
That's it, you walk around a find "Effects". There is no combat, nothing can hurt you, you cannot lose, the worst that can happen is that you are forced to wake up. That's it.
Graphics
Well if its got nothing much in the game play or story department, maybe the graphics make up for it.
All the glory of SNES style graphics
So then what is it that makes this game so special. Well with all of that it still manages to be one of the most unnerving and interesting games in existence. To quote a quote on Wikipedia "Out of every game about dreams, this is the one that probably comes closest to actually resembling one. The game's limitations and vast, undefinable architecture forces the player to question their surroundings and the significance of the smallest actions and events that confront them." This is that kind of game that people wont play in the dark alone and they can never really describe why. This game will put your fear of the unknown to the test.
Now just some clarification on playing the game.
I personally find this game relaxing to play as weird as that sounds, that might be due to how much I played it.
you can find the download for it here at the top of the page

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions
Now this is the first of a few I have lined up, although most of mine pertain to games (I went to college for game design, so I actually studies stuff like this). However feel free to add odditys of any type, Be it image web site, story, video, ect.

- There is no action in this game, and some will find it boring, if so, then its not for you no issue
- There is a end to the game HOWEVER, that shouldn't be your goal, in fact I don't suggest looking up a guide to it, the best way to experience this game is through exploration. HOWEVER AGAIN once you get to a point where your comfortable with what you have explored, then you should look at a guide, as there are evens you should see that are rare. either rare or need to be triggered
- As I have said before This game can be unsettling, however I would not call it horror at all.
