Changing ones entire lifestyle doesn't come easily. Many don't have resolve to stick with the process of exercising through to the end. When times are tough, sometimes it feels like its easier to give up...
But just because something is hard, doesn't mean you can't do it. The importance of having a strong attitude to help guide you through the times when you are sore is great. You need to honor yourself and your dedication to sticking to this chosen pursuit so that you can take this dream and make it reality. Fitness is not without pain, but know that your health is worth every bit of it. Learn to love this challenge ahead of you and you will no doubt succeed.

I agree. It is important, especially if you're new to it, to not allow yourself to be discouraged by exercise, or to feel like it is a crucible to slog through. Those first few weeks are going to hurt, no doubt about it. Your body is getting used to new motions and new stresses, and it's not going to like it right away.
However, improvements will come. They may be slow, but they will come. You'll find yourself able to do things that you couldn't do before, able to surmount challenges that seemed impossible before, and that is a wonderful feeling. The body and mind are not separate things, and by taking care of one, you are taking care of both. Set goals, but enjoy the journey, and be sure to have fun with it. Fitness is a lifelong pursuit and it is entirely worthwhile.

Definitely, one of the hardest things to overcome is yourself, especially when you 'feel' like you aren't making any progress. But, when things are hard, when you don't feel like you're getting anywhere-- it's what you choose to do, the attitude you choose to have in those moments that really counts.

I think another important thing is being onest with yourself: if something don't give the results you expected, you should consider you're doing something wrong. This keeps many people away from good results

Agree 100%. For quite a while now I've been stuck in a rut, struggling with losing fat. So recently I decided that I simply must be doing something wrong and decided to change up my workouts a bit, trying to introduce more cardio, so far I think it's working but I'm not quite out the woods yet. The important thing is that I'm sticking with it though and trying harder than before. For those that are just getting started with trying to get a healthier lifestyle, I can tell you that after a while, giving up really isn't something you even consider. Your attitude about exercising really does change, slowly, but it changes like a person wouldn't believe. If you asked me a year ago that I would enjoy and look forward to exercising I would have laughed and shook my head, but now I really do enjoy it and look forward to it. So remember, stick with it, it'll work and you will change for the better just like you want.
