As a young kid at 16, I have found that I am underweight. I want to gain weight, but I want to do so in a healthy way. Anypony got any ideas on how to do this?

Define underweight? A friend of mine is 6'1" and 150 pounds. He is the right weight for his frame. Another friend is 6'6" and 480 pounds. He is somewhat overweight for his frame, but not that much.
Human bodies are complicated, and being healthy doesn't always mean being a certain weight over another.

I don't know the right weight for my frame, but I know that I'm definetly too skinny

You can build weight by developing your muscle mass.

When you are not eating, you are lifting. When you are not lifting, you are eating.
Try to eat lean meats in all your meals and workout regularly. Use a weight that requires you to do about 8-10 reps on whatever exercise, so a heavy weight.

My roommate would like me to point out that fatty meats are good for you if eaten in moderation as part of a comprehensive diet/exercise/sleep plan.

You should try to gain enough protein each meal, something like 1,5-2g each kg you weigh daily, anyway the way is always the same: eat, eat and eat, workout, workout and workout

Hmm, 130 5'8'' doesn't sound super skinny, but it's hard to say without seeing you. Do you have an ectomorphic build?

If you workout without eating right you will never gain anything. Eat 2,5g Protein per KG body weight each day combined with good carbohydrates splitted in min. 5 meals over the day (1 meal every 2-3 hours) there is no limit for kcal if you are hungry EAT! And trust me if you do right you will be very hungry. Lift weights in a Split programm and you have to go to your limits! Dont be afraid of muscle hangovers if you get one after each workout you know its working!

1) Lift weights rippedbody.jp/the-big-3-routine/2) Buy whey protein and whole milk (~$15 for 2 lb tubs at Wal-Mart) 3) Drink the above on top of what you normally eat You're lucky in that at your age, you're basically on steroids with how your hormones are going crazy. Hahahaha.
