I keep forgetting and it doesn't help that a lot of sites says different information, so simple question, How long should I wait before lifting weights after a big meal? Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong place, it kind of gets confusing for specific things like this

I know you're supposed to wait an hour before you swim, but I'm not sure about lifting weights. You might get some better answers in the Exercise forum.

After a big meal i would say min. 2 hours. I noticed that i should not eat any milk products like my protein shake anytime before training because i feel uncomfortable at training if i do. You should test it wait 1 hour do your workout and if you feel uncomfortable because of a full belly wait longer.

Kind of building off of what Mad said, it really depends what you eat, like when I was trying to build muscle over the summer I would eat some protein(bars, chicken, etc.) that wouldn't really sit like a rock in my stomach and help with muscle growth. Followed by a protein shake/meal right after. I would even see many others drinking protein shakes while they were working out. I feel it's more of a personal thing, which do you prefer and which do you feel makes your workout go smoother? What might work for someone, might not work for you, so just experiment and find what works for you.
