Well since this site is all dedicated to sport and personal fitness (or at least I think so) I think there will be some people around who are or where in sport teams or just did competative sports by themselves so why don´t you tell me what kind of sports you did so far and what was your goal on the court, field or whatever surface you played, runned, jumped or fighted on?What did you loved about your sport? What was your position on the field?Have you witnessed the magic of friendship with your colleagues? I´m just curious about the people on this forum,so don´t be shy tell me your your experiences ;D

Used to play hockey and figure skate a long time ago.
Now I want to go to Powerlifting competitions.

Powerlifting comps are sweet. I know a few friends who have done them. I haven't yet, but might consider it one day.
I have tried baseball, soccer, football, and hockey and sucked at all of them. I decided to give cross county a try and still sucked at it. But I was having fun so I dedicated myself to it. Same with with sprinting. Now if halfway decent at both, and extremely proud of the progress I have made.

Cross country and paintball were my choice sports for a while when I was younger. Then I embarked on the path of the scholar and have been unable to get myself to regularly exercise.

My main sports are Football and Wrestling. Though I have tried a bunch of other sports, (baseball, soccer, etc.) yet lack any hand-eye coordination whatsoever. So I do best in sports where I can out work the other players, because what I lack in coordination, I more then make up for in pure endurance.
In Football, on defense, I played end and tackle. On offense I play tight end and tackle. And in wrestling I am currently in the 171lbs weight class. I love in football the sense of team; in football you are going to war with your other team mates and your form some of the strongest bonds with them. Also I like to hit, a lot xD. And wrestling is my favorite sport because it is THE most demanding sport, wrestling will break you down physically and mentally and only the ones who want it more, win. You have no one else to blame if you lose, it is all on you. But that's double-sided, and when you win, it was all you and it is the greatest feeling in the world!

I use to be a long distance runner but then I got appendicitis then I stopped working out for about 7 years, I'm 15 now and I joined football freshman year and lost 35 pounds, then I worked out with power lifters and people in track once off season started. Summer came and I was exercising the whole time, I was in summer track for a couple of weeks and didn't miss a day of lifting weights and got a lot stronger and looked a lot better, now off season has started so I'll be getting even better.

Long distance running (and other endurance sports) are really friggin hardcore. Like, they scare me. You just gotta learn to keep running until the only functional thought you have is finishing the trek. It's easy!

Long distance running (and other endurance sports) are really friggin hardcore. Like, they scare me. You know, I gotta say that having done both endurance races, sprinting, and weightlifting, sprinting with weightlifting as assistance was the hardest training of my life. It made me much more sore than endurance running. Distance races are harder than short sprint races IMO, but I found the day to day training of distance running to me less painful than sprint training.

I played football for about a year, after this I played another year of rugby but my real passion was basketball all along I just love the fast paced game and how it almost never stops. Played Power Forward all the time not being the tallest. But you´re impressing with all the physical demanding sports you do (not that any sport isn´t demanding but football AND wrestling ) your injury ratio must be very high.

When I was younger (up to high school), I tried tennis, climbing, and volleyball (none at the same time as another I mean), which fortunately gave me some muscle on which I could rely for the following 7 years or so. But in France, sport is not compulsory after high school (a relief for me who had bade grades, but a pity really) and I couldn't find enough time to fit in some sport :/ I tried some fencing (more demanding sport than it seems !) but had to stop, due to lack of time. I'm still considering what I'll do now

I played baseball until I was in 7th grade and played football for one year. Golf during high school. My favorite sport to play however, is volleyball. I am learning how to skate so I can play hockey.

Before you read any further, please don't laugh at me. Thank you.
When I was a kid, my mother made me take ballet class for some unknown reason. I was the only boy there. It was humiliating. I was terrible at ballet.
Then I tried to do aikido, but I was horrible at that too due to poor motor skills, so I quit (really stupid decision, but whatcha gonna do when depression comes down on you like lightning from a clear sky?).
Currently I'm trying to occasionally get my lazy arse to the gym and lift some weights. So yeah, I've never been involved in any actual sports, but I hope that you all who are into sports get enjoyment from what you do and good luck with it in the future!

Wel, just want to say, there's nothing wrong nor humiliating in doing ballet when you're a boy (though it's true that a young boy may not have that insight), and that is no laughing matter :-) , at least as long as you like it and want to do it, being forced is always rather wrong, and often bring disliking of course.
