Attached is an Excel spreadsheet I made that can help you calculate approximately how many Calories you need in a day. The only things you need to plug in are your height, weight, age, and activity level (The green cells). The number in the black box at the bottom right will give you a starting point for how many Calories you need. I have been using this for over a year and have had great results. If anyone has any questions or doesn't understand a term please ask or PM me. Only alter the green cells, otherwise you could break the formatting. Attachments:

You say that we should only change the green cells, but height is in a green cell and there's a ywllow cell that says Metabolism something... is that normal or maybe i'm reading it wrong.

Plug in your height in feet and inches (Top right) and the third cell will add them together and transfer the value where needed.

All right, it's working now, looks very promising! 2484 kcal it says. This is what around what I should be eating if I wanted to keep being healthy as I am now right? but what if I want to lose some weight? Should I reduce it a little bit and work out more?

I would reduce by about 500 calories to start. Try it for a week or two and see how that feels. Working out is also great addition, and would probably increase your activity level.

I tried these many times before and I've failed and gone hungry. Now I just watch what I eat and eat small portions.

I guarantee you've never tried this one. Eating smaller portions more often is what I do too. By the time I get hungry, it's time to eat again. I simply used this to approximate how many calories I need (3200) so I don't gain weight.

I've been staying stable with my weight. I don't eat a ton. I eat just enough to fill me up.
