*Here's hoping I'm not the only minor on the forum*
The lunch options at my school are relatively quite good (we have vegetarian hot food options, a salad bar, etc.) But it's still very difficult to maintain my ideal diet, and it's probably nigh on impossible for people at a lot of schools.
So, basically, does anypony have advice on what to do when you have no idea what you'll be fed two meals out of the day?

If you have those healthy foods eat those for lunch.

As far as school, pack your own lunch. It will let you control what you eat. The salad bar is also a great option, just stay away from calorie-laden dressings like blue cheese, ranch, French, and Russian. Vinaigrettes are your best option as far as dressings.

That is very good advice right there. I took my lunch to school sometimes abs it was better.

If by "two meals" you mean dinner as well then talk to your parents about including certain things into that meal. You don't have to explicitly say "I'm losing weight and it would be great if we could eat this sort of stuff" if you don't want to. Try going out on grocery trips and make sure that things like whole grains and healthier things are being bought.
As for lunch, if you can't pack a lunch then just go for the healthiest option available. If the choice isn't that great then get a smaller serving of the main and fill yourself up on fruits and salad. If you can pack your lunch then I recommend doing it the night before and popping it in the fridge. That way you aren't rushing in the morning to get something ready and can make things like pastas. Sammitches are best made in the morning though.
But if you're really unsure then carry around fruit like apples. That way if you really feel that the meal is detrimental to your health you have another way to get some really good energy and be filled up.
