Has anyone else tried the Noom app? I am loving it!
www.noom.com/
I use the app on my Samsung Galaxy SIII and it works great, it has several different logs to keep track of things each day, things it tracks=
1.Steps. It has a pedometer that gives you a daily goal of steps that increases for the next day whenever you meet it.
2.Exercise tracker. It has a workout tracker with a GPS tracking option, while this is only good for jogging, walking, running or cycling it keeps track of your movement through the pedometer and at the end gives your a total of miles covered, a speed average and calories burned.
3.Food log. The app has a food tracker that you note down your meals through, there's a database of foods, their value and calorie content explained with a traffic light system. Foods like wholegrain cereals and fruit are green, foods like eggs, white bread and nuts are yellow and foods that are really bad for you like pizza and other fast food are red. This gives a quick visual reference guide for how your diets going.
The app also gives you access to one new article a day on how to improve your diet and way of thinking about food. While you can only schedule one exercise session a day on the unpaid version (the version I use) it's well worth a download.
I take long walks with the exercise tracker on while watching MLP videos on the same device, it's taken me from no exercise to an average of eight miles walking a day and my calorie consumption now runs around 1700->2300 a day, a lot less than is needed to sustain my portly form.
