I was thinking we could use a thread to suggest minimizing our guilty pleasures. I figure everyone probably has that one treat or snack that they know is just no good for them but they can't seem to resist it. My example being ramen noodles, I'm a ramen noodle junkie, I know it offers me practically no nutritional benefits really but I still got to have them. So I find the best way to deal with this is to minimize the harm it can do to my body. So far the best I've found for this endeavor is a brand called Koyo, they offer natural low fat ramen noodles in a variety of unique flavors. A much less unhealthy alternative to say Nongshim ramen, my favorite. I won't even bring up that dime a dozen Maruchan stuff, Luna only knows what kind of cancer causing additives and fillers they use. Anyway, that's what this thread is about, for that one thing you just can't quite quit and trying to find an alternative for it or helping someone else find their alternative. What's your pleasure?

I love Hood Golden Eggnog with a passion. I try to limit it since it's so fattening.

My favorite food in all the world is chicken wings. I minimize the calories by grilling or baking the wings, and using a dry rub or a sauce with zero calories.

My guilty pleasure is sugary tea, I know I shouldn't drink it but I have a cup or two a day. I'm cutting down but it's hard, caffiene and sugar are addictive and this is my last source of both. :/ I'm also very tempted by chocolate peanuts but I'm doing a good job at keeping away from those.

I like everything that's sugary and really bad for me. Today I binged on brownies, ice cream and half a glass of soda with sugar in it. However, I kind of made up for it by eating a sandwich with lots of vegetables in it (the café's vegan option) and eating a healthy dinner. So... it's not so bad, right?

So... it's not so bad, right? The way I look at it is this. My body needs X amount of calories in a day. As long as I don't exceed X, I won't gain weight. How I choose to reach X is up to me. I like feeling full and having energy, so I eschew energy dense foods in favor of nutrient dense foods. It's all about an individual plan that works for us.

I love everything with sugar... I could eat any candy I can get but I manage to resist this sweet madness. But from time to time I need some delicious candy but I limit myself. I can't consume much candy because I eat 4000 to 4500kcal and candy would boost it to much.
