I like eating a lot, and part of what I've been doing to get healthier is to eat less, namely by trying to bring my appetite down to a healthy level. I've been doing this so far by just eating at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I still feel pretty hungry in the meantime. Any suggestions on lowering appetite?

Wholegrain foods and sugar-free gum, wholefoods keep you full and gum keeps your mouth busy. Both of which should help reduce your appetite.

Drink water. It won't entirely curb your appetite, but it'll take your mind off of it. And water is good for you.

A big bowl of extra-fibrous oatmeal each morning will last you long, black tea will also lower your appetite. The stomach will expand and shrink depending on how much you usually eat, try eating tiny portions over a weekend and then try and stick to something similar to that, you won't be as hungry because your stomach will be smaller.

The stomach will expand and shrink depending on how much you usually eat This is not true. The resting volume of your stomach is static. It will expand slightly during ingestion, but after it empties it returns to the same size. Dietary changes will not alter the physical size of your stomach. However, if you adjust your body to eating less, your appetite will also adjust (Physiologically and psychologically).

Apples, man. Lots of apples. As long as you eat at least two apples a day, I guarantee your appetite will be curbed and you will begin to lose weight, especially if you eat two in quick succession after a meal.
