I was surfing the web when I came across something called the "Warrior Diet". After doing some research, it is allegedly good for diets and workouts, but I wanted to run it by this forum for any thoughts on it because I feel skeptical about it. Here's a link to a page describing it: www.livestrong.com/article/207739-results-of-the-warrior-diet/

Seems interesting, I might try it at some point, definitely needs more research though, that article alone isn't nearly enough to make a decision on.
It seems to suggest that you might be overworking your digestive system though? That's the impression I got anyway. Much in the same way you would overwork your body to stay warm in the Arctic I would imagine. Probably something you want to research thoroughly first to make sure it won't be doing more harm than good. It doesn't sound very natural to me, a more natural way for the body to work itself is maintaining muscle. For every pound of muscle your body has, you supposedly require roughly 50 calories to support it daily, this would be a more natural form of your body demanding and spending calories I think. However, don't take this as discouragement, just suggesting that reading up on and understanding a diet before attempting it is important.

To me, it seems sketchy at best. Goes against everything I know, as well as my own experiences. According to critics of the plan, the system is without any scientific basis, research, or citations, making it hard to determine where this individual gets his information for his "claims." Here is a long analysis/article about the claims Hofmekler makes and their lack of any foundation is science. www.begin2dig.com/2008/07/review-claims-of-warrior-diet.htmlThat being said, if something works for you, go for it. But in my opinion there are better ways to lose weight, gain muscle mass, and be healthy.

I noticed this diet and decided I had to post about my experience with it for anyone who is curious. This diet actually was really bad for me as I put on weight and my body got upset. I did everything that I was supposed to do with this for about 5 weeks (including a high intensity workout routine involving MMA training) but I wasn't seeing any positive results. By my second week I found that my body was very upset with me. I had no energy and sleep was was a rare thing. In addition to this I was gaining weight. By my fourth week on the warrior I had put on 4 lb. My fifth week I bagged the diet and went back to juicing (I've been playing around and juicing is the only one that seems to work for my body). I was curious so I pinged my friend who is a physical therapist and my friend who is a nutritionist. They both told me that the warrior is successful for a small number of people and is not recommended. If people hit this post and are thinking about actually doing this I recommend trying it and seeing what it does to you before you commit completely. I know it's an older post but I would be interested to hear if OP actually did it and was successful.
