I was wondering that too, I don't really know what a hipster is but I guess that's the point? Seems like they've always intentionally left their definition... undefined.  I watched it a couple days ago, I enjoyed it, though I've mostly enjoyed reading the reactions more. It's interesting to think there are so many bronies that ended up disliking it. I found one discussion in particular very interesting, a topic about piracy over at brohoof.com, where the distributors themselves responded. I don't know if it's because bronies are starting to feel mainstream or what but it seems like a lot of bronies are upset about every official piece of media that enters the fandom now. I've been seeing mostly discontent for this documentary and for the season 3 finale. Regardless, I wouldn't let any of it discourage you, the documentary is enjoyable in my opinion, I think some people are just taking it a little too serious really. |

I saw part of it on a stream before the new episode today. I liked pretty much everything I saw in the ~30 minutes. I'll definitely be picking this up. $13 is a small investment the way I see it.
Regarding discontent in the fandom, I don't think there is as much as you think. They are a minority. People do tend to get frustrated when franchises they love don't meet expectations (Don't even get me started about George Lucas), but I don't think we have anything to worry about. Besides, what fandom doesn't nitpick and complain? NEEEERDS!
As far as the season finale, we don't even have a clue what the season finale will entail and people are already judging it. The staff have done a great job so far, and I will continue to trust their decisions until I have a solid reason to otherwise.

I got it on dvd from the kickstarter page a while back. I liked it but it made me really disappointed in well just kinda humanity the way some people treated some of the guys in the beging. Theres never any kind of reason to act like that to someone. I think it would be a good think for some closet bronys to show parents to or something. that's just my 2 bits on it though.
