alright... I saw something on EQD... Ok if the show is going to be targeted towards OLDER girls(possible gen 4.5) i'm guessing that they might make it like a teen show (i'm 16 and hate that stuff) where the mane 6 will have boy/coltfriends and the CMC will be older and just starting highschool (ugh Degrassi/Depressi) where they are struggling through it and will become more in the spotlight(i'm talking CMC 80% screentime at school and 20% for mane 6 making only small talk....) I dunno maybe that's what they mean by older girls.... I hope not..... I guess you tell me/everybody what you think cuz y'know Mlp Fim is just great- no perfect the way it is and it should stay the way it is

I like to adopt a wait and see approach with this kind of thing. The original show will remain and we may get another great show. No sense in worrying until we get some more information.

OK! I sometimes hate being a crazy theoretical teenager but on EQD today IT IS rumored to happen.... In highschool! But the main 6 humanized in our world, also it won't affect MLP FIM, it being a spinoff I think i'll try it y'know it can't be bad if it's just a parallel universe(just hope they ain't angsty like dem teen shows today)bad thing is if they'll make Rarity all *Squee*y in this..... Or Pinkie a druggie..... Futters an emo.... Twilight a really dorky nerd.... Applejack um a stereotypical southerner?...... Or Rainbow a*whispers* lesbian hot for Fluttershy..... Ugh i REALLY don't want this to be a teen drama, if you can't tell.... Still, i'll try it for a few episodes

Aw, don't worry sugar pie, at worse, we can safely ignore it, you can even pretend it doesn't exist, since it's not canon. And at best, well, it will be good, so either way we can't really lose :-) I'd say, it's not as if Hasbro had always did things great like MLP:FIM, just look at the G3 ponies. If they fail, we can't say "what have you done, you used to do so great things", that would just be another failure, it happens, even when it's a spin off of a great show. But still, the design looks ugly. Let's be strong /)

Well this sucks, it'll more than likely give Hasbro enough reason to shut down Starswirl Academy, not that they weren't going to do it anyway. It's kind of ridiculous that Hasbro can make a spinoff to ruin their show but they won't allow anyone else to do it. I mean seriously, teenage human versions? Is there anything worse you could turn a pony into?

Hopefully this idea will never be fully actualized.

I'm actually kind of...looking forward to it. People don't give Hasbro enough credit. Look what they did with MLP:FIM and all the success they're having with it. Why would they turn around and make some cliche and boring? It would be incredibly stupid. And even if the concept is cliche and boring, the show itself could turn out to be good if they can amass a similar talent thhat the FIM staff has for scripts, animations, etc. They have a good base to build on, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I give Hasbro full credit, it was all them that had abridged series, nearly complete fighting games, and various other forms of fanart shut down, it was all Hasbro and their greed. I do them full credit. I do not give them credit for FiM at all, they lucked out, that's all. They got Lauren and through Lauren they got a great team. Since she has left the series, I've given Habro full credit for slowly ruining the series as well. The only thing keeping it alive is the fact that a lot of that talented team does still work on it. As far as I'm concerned, I think a teenage version of FiM could work, but I doubt it. I mean I have seen stuff like that go well, one of my favorite comics ever (WITCH) is about teenage girls and it's great because it also has a creative mind behind it. Just like FiM did at the start.

Hasbro shutting down some projects was disappointing, but they are well within their rights. I wish they didn't wait for two years to do it, but at least Mane 6 has Lauren Faust now. So it will all pay off. If they wanted a teenage targeted show, they should have gone with Galaxy Girls (Lauren's IP). Everything she touches is gold (Or green). Their loss. They'll feel dumb when she sells it to some other company.
