So, recently I discovered air-popped popcorn and that it is a very high volume, low calorie snack. Link for the facts. This is a great option for those just starting to get to a healthier diet because popcorn can taste good all by itself or even if you need a little flavor, sprinkle a little salt on it even. What makes this such a great snack though is that you can eat 3 cups, 24g, and it's only 100 calories and it's not something a person will work their way through quickly either. To top it all of, it's a good source of fiber, combine the fiber and the slow eating process, you'll be less likely to feel hungry afterward. There's little to worry about in the way of spending money as well, air-poppers are quite inexpensive, you can get a very nice one(i use it) for a mere $20 from Amazon. I'm sure you can find them in your local kitchen store as well though. Happy munching.

Awesome post. Air-popped popcorn is a great low-calorie, high fiber snack. And if you buy the seeds from bulk food store, it's really cheap too! You can flavor it however you like. I recommend Kernel Season's. They have 20 different flavors, all with only 8 calories per tsp. You can find them in the grocery store sometimes.

Just a little add-on here, there are also two kinds of popcorn you can use, white or yellow. They taste the same overall and if you plan to flavor them anyway, taste won't matter. Nutritionally they are pretty close, white popcorn offers a little more fiber than yellow. The big difference between the two however is the calories, yellow popcorn has less calories than white popcorn, the difference isn't huge though, about 20 calories for 1 cup of yellow and 30 calories for 1 cup of white.
Like Darth said, you can easily find this in bulk online or in a store, I get mine from a Farm&Home in town and they offer 4lb and 12lb bags. I just get the 4lb, lasts quite a while and is more ideal for storage, only cost me $4.
