Hiya folks, Noble Cause here. Those of you that browse Equestria Daily and have tripped over National Pony Writing Month... yeah, it's me. I'm also a pre-reader for all the fic.


So, I figured with Bronycon coming up, I'm needing to trim down. Being 5'6" and 265 isn't doing me any favors. I'm living in New York, I left my home state of Oregon 5 years ago (ish) at 227, and I'd be happy to just get back to that. I'd be SATISFIED with 200, even if according to BMI I'm supposed to be 180. As it is? I'm doing situps and pushups daily. Or trying to.

So... here I am. Expect me to post recipes now and again, since I do have a habit of cooking.

265 to 200 in three months for bronycon? You don't need a workout, you need worms.

No but really it sounds like you're off to a good start, situps and pushups will help a lot, especially the situps. I was at a similar place as you some time ago, weighing 260 myself and worked my way down to 200 with just situps and pushups and walking. About the only suggestion I would have is to try and get decent walking or similar cardio in, doing constant walking for about 30 minutes a day is great for the heart, though a full hour is more ideal, but this all depends on how much time you have available.

I'm actually gunning for 250 by the con, but 15 pounds in 4 months might be pushing my luck. I'd be happy if I just kept 5 pounds off by con time.

200 is where I ultimately want to be at.

It can be done. I lost 80 lbs. in 3 months. Safely, easily, and without killing myself working out. No magic, just science!
