Hey Guys,
I figured I would share my experience with pre-workout supplements. I will focus on Neurocore because it is what I made my discovery on.
I was working at the gym and my friend handed me a pouch of pre-workout. Slammed it back and was immediately wired. I looked up at the clock and I had been at the gym for 3 hours by the time the pre-workout got out of my system. The feeling was amazing and I wasn't tired at all during my routine. The next day I was extremely sore and decided to get on Neurocore. Neurocore helped me lift more weight and it seemed to take away my limits. Eventually the effect lessened so I started taking more. Because of what is in it I was still taking under the max dose. Going up in dose worked for about three days then I hit a brick wall again. I decided to only take it every other day in an attempt to get that feeling back. An important note here is that I haven't been doing very much cardio on this stuff. It came time for a monthly full striking workout with my training partner (we hit pads and bag for about an hour) and this is when I started to have a major problem. While I was lifting a lot I was slow both mentally and physically during my cardio. It was a terrible feeling that drove me to try and force the pre-workout out of my system during the workout. I got hurt during this workout and am still in recovery mode from a stinger in my wrist (3 weeks ago was the injury).
Here is my main advice if you are considering a pre-workout:
Research it before you commit to it. If you commit to it take it and do an all around workout to see what the effects are on your body and your routine. Also, be very careful when you lift on this stuff because you won't feel it but your body still has its limits and if you push too hard you might not feel an injury but the next day you will feel it (this is what happened with my stinger in my wrist).
