Looking at the contents of this website, you'd think this is kind of a fitness site specifically for children. I understand this is a fandom based around a children's show, but the people that come here won't be 6-10 year old kids, they'll be teenagers and adults who want to get in shape or improve their fitness. Here are some suggestions I'd make to kind of better gear this towards that crowd. - I'd try to ditch the 'casual exercise' approach, and instead divide exercise into say, losing fat and gaining muscle.
- Also, the 'casual' subreddits you have also seem kind of demeaning. "Socializing"? "Hygiene" "Having Fun"? These are concepts that many people master by 1st Grade, not in their late-20s. I'd either ditch them or rename them.
- Many of these forums lack purpose, and many can be grouped together [i.e. Videos and Creative Expression].
- Many of these forums have childish names that can be renamed to match the audience they're geared for, for example, Relaxation becoming Meditation.
Maybe I just have a different view of this forum than you do, and if so you can gladly point that out, but it feels like as of now this forum is geared much more towards children than the teenagers and adults that'll much more likely be coming here, and it might hurt the forum in the future. If we share the same view though, it'd be cool if you could make some of these changes

I think the Forum Main Threads could be better named yes. There should be accurate threads for healthy goals like "get Motivation", "Gain Muscles", "Reduce Fat", "Gain endurance" or anything like that. And Threads like hygiene are not really helpfull because everyone should know how to clean yourself after workout .

Thanks for the input. Some pages are still being refined, but I understand some of the things you are saying.

And Threads like hygiene are not really helpfull because everyone should know how to clean yourself after workout . SHOULD is the key word, and did you look through it? There were a lot of tips and tricks that I never even knew about and you are never old to learn something new. And you have to understand not everyone is going to be a hardcore lifter who wants to go down to 8% body fat and put up 300lbs in bench press. A lot of the members are people with busy schedules that want "casual" exercises that they can fit into their lives along with some helpful diet tips, etc. You can definetly add hardcore weightlifting and weight loss sections, but understand that their are other's that don't really care for it. But I see no reason why we can't have both.

But I see no reason why we can't have both. Never, ever did I imply that I wanted this to be some hardcore lifting site. However, I also believe that more people are going to come here to make their bodies fitter and healthier than to learn how to moisterize their skin or post in the spam thread. Not that that's important, but there should be some more emphasis on the actually doing exercise and eating well part, not equal emphasis. I mean, there's only one forum for doing serious exercise (Deliberate Exercise) even though there's a bunch that can fit under there like weightlifting, supplements, running, routines, etc., and a bunch of forums for trivial stuff where having more than a handful of topics will probably be difficult (Socializing, Having Fun, Creative Expression, Hygiene).

Maybe let more mature language on this forum. We're all adults here and should handle adult words.

I agree with CommanderHurricane, I think it's best to have as many options as possible. Everyone's different and have different needs and wants. I actually think the casual forum is where a good amount of people that join this forum might start at, it was one of the first things I looked at and my workout routine doesn't really fit into the casual category. Also agree about the hygeine, some of that really isn't obvious to everyone. I mean I'm not a dirty person, I shower daily, sometimes twice a day, but so of the tip in the skin care thread were things I never thought of, you can never know what others have knowledge about and it can't hurt to share knowledge... unless it's a secret or gossip. Agree with appledash too, I'd like it if we could speak a little more freely as adults but at the same time I understand perfectly well why there's a rule about it. Anyway, I don't see much of what you're talking about, I mean how is the word "Relaxation" childish? It's probably not my favorite way to express that words meaning either but I don't think it's childish. Then again I am kind of sitting on a forum based off of My Little Pony so it's possible I have trouble differentiating what is and isn't childish.

Well last time I checked there were minors here, not me but I checked a profile of somepony who was underage (not to mention there are also grown women ^^) Besides, there might be more members joining, not all adults, so we should take that into account (and honestly, can swearwords really not be avoided ? Let's talk like our favorite ponies o/)

I actually think the casual forum is where a good amount of people that join this forum might start at, it was one of the first things I looked at and my workout routine doesn't really fit into the casual category. I agree, but at the time I wrote the original post, there were only two fitness boards, one of which contained 'leaning' and such, and the other shoehorning running, gym routines, and weightlifting into one single forum. Now that there's a 'cardiovascular training' board, not really an issue anymore. Then again I am kind of sitting on a forum based off of My Little Pony so it's possible I have trouble differentiating what is and isn't childish. Perhaps I goofed on the usefulness of the Hygiene board. Again, my gripe was that "Deliberate Exercise" shared as much space as other boards that were absolutely unneeded such as "Socializing" and "Having Fun". Maybe let more mature language on this forum. We're all adults here and should handle adult words. Holy poo poo no. Not what I meant by the title.
