So for those out there who are trying to bulk up, gain some muscle mass, a higher protein intake is almost a necessity along with lifting and exercise.
So aside from meats, many people use protein shakes. Now I ask what is your preferred protein shake? If you do drink them that is! If not, do you take any other protein supplements?
I'm just starting out, and a friend of mine suggested the Boost Protein shakes. I'm gonna probably start with those as a snack supplement before or after workouts!

I don't use supplements since they aren't natural, but I am crazy on eggs. I put eggs in my smoothies and oatmeal and eat them by themselves. Eggs are to me as cupcakes are to Pinkie Pie.

Eggs are also a favorite of mine. I also like to eat thick meaty sandwiches with cheese. That is also a good way to bulk up muscle.

What about whey powder? You may want to look it up. It's high in protein and you can add it to shakes. I'm not looking to bulk up, but I use it to give my cereal some staying power a la protein.

No I will never put that *Squee* in my body. I get my protein from meats. Like steaks chicken and other resources.

I find any protein supplements unnatural, whereas I find things like whey protein powder and protein chocolate bars natural. It's all opinions about what's truly natural and all. I would agree that purely natural involves only getting proteins from natural sources like meats and certain vegetables and milk. As long as you have to chew it and it has good flavor, then it's natural in my book.
I usually put a scoop of whey powder in oatmeal from time to time, as well as have it in a shake after an intense workout.

If I have a protein shake, it's going to be whey. It's not uncommon to find whey/casein blends (both being milk proteins) with the argument being that there's a benefit in their respective speeds of uptake by the body. For example, casein is digested more slowly, so some recommend that one consume it prior to bed. It can make you feel bloated, though. Soy protein I avoid, and I wouldn't buy an item that advertised high protein without knowing what type of protein it was.

I use protein shakes every day. When im in bulk up phase i drink 2 100% Whey protein shakes a day because your body can work faster with Whey protein and it dont saturates you that much. For diet phase i use 100% Casein protein shakes because your body use this protein slower and got for a longer time than and it saturates so you automatically dont eat that much. The third sort of protein shakes are mixed ones, they are good for overall training but i dont use them.
I mix my protein shakes with 1 tablespoon linseed oil and 2 tablespoon walnut oil to get more good fat (Omega 6 and Omega 3). In combination with the right power flavour it taste delicious!
